What feature do you miss in your current WMS? Is there anything you think could improve efficiency or quality that should be a standard feature?

Wms systems are good at tasking warehouse workers to move goods between points in a warehiuse.
What they do not do well is supply the telematics information that allows for the measurement of the workers prodcutivity and thier safety, and efficent operations.

This really depends on your current WMS.
If we take the top rated Gartner WMS, which is Manhattan, then you have a total suite of products that includes your warehouse management system, yard management system and labor management to measure employee productivity by task. This also can be integrated with the transportation management system for both inbound and outbound.
The next step and current missing piece will be total integration of the WMS with the Warehouse Control System (WCS), and then out of the box integration with scanning/camera systems, print and apply, automated guided vehicles, asset maintenance and full product/serial number traceability.
